Yesterday we drove from Bratislava to Prague. Our first impression was coming over the hill from the motorway and seeing all the church spires all over the city. It is a huge city. So many red roofs and churches. Some of them looked like haunted houses. (Like the Fortnite haunted hills castle)
We headed into the main square and watched street performers. There was an astronomical clock that has sun, star signs and some other things we couldn’t quite figure out. We gathered with heaps of other tourists to watch the clock change over on the hour. We then went to the Prague Beer Museum for dinner and ate hamburgers and goulash with potato dumplings. We then walked over the Charles Bridge which had statues of lots of saints.
This morning we got up early and hopped on a tram and visited the Prague Castle. It was grandiose. I was impressed by the hundreds on little spires on the cathedral. It’s an awesome structure. There were guards and soldiers all over the palace checking everyone was behaving and they were armed with SMGs.
We also had a look at the famous John Lennon wall.
We ate Trdelnik, a delicious dough cooked on a spit covered with sugar and cinnamon. And your choice of filling, Nutella, cream, ice cream…
