Jet Lag is still wreaking havoc with our bodies. I read it takes a day for 1-2 time zones crossed to adjust. That’s about five – ten days then!
So a quiet day at home was in order, outside it drizzled and the temperature a little cooler but very pleasant. The dry air is lovely. I used the washing machine in the cellar (next to the bomb shelter that every home / apartment seems to have). The washing took a few hours to dry and I hung it in the dark cellar!
My hair is a good barometer, haha. I washed it and went to blow dry it an hour later and it was already dry (and not frizzy!) Ngaire, you’d love it!
We played a board game ‘zug um zug’ (ticket to ride) – such a fun game. But around 4pm the tiredness started to kick in again. We thought a trip to IKEA was in order to distract us. And found some dinner there too.
The scenery is stunning here, lakes and mountains, beautiful countryside and villages. Just driving is a treat! We live in an area that is known for it’s apple juice, so there are apple-laden trees everywhere. Along with vineyards up along the hills by the lake.
Wish you were all here with us!
Anyway, we’re heading up to Germany today to visit the Heutmann family and be a part of little cousin / nephew’s Arthur’s baptism. We are all very excited.
Bis bald x
