Adventskranz

Today, at school, we made wreaths to put candles on for advent. People in the community can order them and the school makes a bit of money. There were parents and local people helping too. A local farmer brought lots of tree branches in his tractor trailer and we all had different jobs to do. I had the job of attaching leaves to a straw wreath.

I made two wreaths and Mum made three. We made over 30 in total. After I had finished making the wreaths we helped a bit with decorating. Then some friends and I delivered them to the people that had ordered them. They gave us lollies and chocolate.

Michelle: I enjoyed joining in this long-time community tradition. About 15 parents and retirees helped out. It was real special getting to know the other mums better. They are all kind, open and friendly. Interested especially in why we would come to Switzerland in winter!

Morning coffee and gipfeli were served in the staff room and we sat around chatting and laughing with the school teachers. We feel so at home here. It’s now very clear to us why God chose this lovely village and house for our family to experience Switzerland in. He’s taking such good care of us.

These things and traditions you have to experience – and you certainly make the most of it. Thanks for sharing this with us, Noah and Michelle.

So thrilled how the Lord has provided not just a place to stay for you but also a place to be part of a local community!
